Med Avatar bilder mener jeg små portretter som du finner i pass, firmabrosjyrer eller som profilbilder på sosiale medier.
Hvem er personen som blir avbildet? Hva kan vi lese ut fra disse små, anonyme bildene?
Jeg forsøker å danne meg et et bilde av personligheten, ut fra små ledetråder når jeg ser fotografiene for første gang. Jeg liker tanken på å dikte og fantasere rundt personene på bildene.
Alle maleriene har kvadratisk format, og måler 20x20cm eller 30x30cm. De minste er malt på trefiberplater med en distanselist på baksiden slik at de svever litt ut fra veggen.

By avatar images I mean small portraits like the ones you find in passports, company brochures, or as profile pictures on social media.
Who is the person being depicted? What can we read from these small, anonymous images?
I try to form an impression of the personality based on small clues when I see the photographs for the first time. I like the idea of imagining and fantasizing about the people in the pictures.
All the paintings have a square format and measure 20×20 cm or 30×30 cm.
The smallest ones are painted on fiberboard with a spacer strip on the back so they float slightly away from the wall.
